Frequently Asked Questions
How do we communicate?
Communication happens between either Email or Text depending on your selection when filling out the intake form.
You can always reach me directly at daniel@danielriverstax.com or +1 (502) 414-1854
I am happy to answer any tax questions you have, and I reply within one business day.
Is my financial data secure?
Your intake form runs over JotForm, a 256-bit SSL encrypted data submission service.
Tax documents go through a password-protected client portal, never as email attachments.
As an Enrolled Agent I'm bound by IRS Circular 230 confidentiality rules, which is a legal obligation, not just a company policy.
When does the waitlist turn into actual onboarding?
I start onboarding on January 1st when tax season starts, in first-come-first-serve order.
You'll get an email or text with your intake form and a document checklist, fill it out, upload through the portal, and you pay nothing until your return is complete.
What happens if I get an IRS notice?
If you receive an IRS notice, don't ignore it, and don't reply on your own first!
Send it to me and I'll review it and tell you exactly what it means.
Most notices are routine, and I handle simple responses for returns I prepared. If it's something bigger like an audit, I'll connect you with a specialist I trust.
